do you believe in god ?

Hi friends ,
Do you believe in god? If so how far you can take this believe. What all you do on behalf of this believe? In India people travel long distance as pilgrimage , thinking if they go and prayer they will reach heavens. Also believers perform many rituals to please their deity. Do you have anything similar to that , like whole of your family or society follow some rituals ?

What do I do as an expression of my belief in God?
I am a Christian, so I read the Holy Bible daily. I also spent some time in meditating on what I read. Prayer is also part of my daily life. I'm also glad to share my beliefs with others. I also try to show love for all people I meet during the course of each day.

Hi buddy I am very much happy to speak about it. I belong to Hindu religion and we have lot off rituals(Puja's) performed in temple. For example to get a good married life, to get a good job, to get a good kid , for all this we have Puja's. It will take whole day to explain these. You can imagine when I say that we need to stay for hours in queue just to pray in from of the God statue.

Not believe in god now. But i respect most people who has a religion belief and never hurt other people with other religions. I think a religion belief is an essential element in one's life. I hope one day i can take a believe.

Practicing rituals doesn't necessarily connote that a person is indeed serious about his/her belief in God. There are those who do that out of tradition (but no longer by heart) and some who just do it for show.
We do have rituals, but I don't think that's how I see being a true believer is. It's how you deal with people, how you are as a community and as a family.
What do I do in behalf of this belief? Well, I talk to God every day, consult Him in my decisions, ask for solace from Him for my problems and confusions, and treat people the right way everyday.
Yes, I'm no Saint so sometimes I do falter, but I know that He will forgive me and have forgiven me.
