The start with number inside beside your username is our mylot reputation number. At first, I have the number 4 star, then it goes up to 5 and now I have the 6th star, (57/100), my brother and my mom is the same having the 10star. how about you?

You first get awarded your reputation star when you have reached your first milestone of 100 posts. I remember when I first recieved mine and at the time I was awarded a six star rating. However through responding to my best ability I have been able to steadily increase my star. The way in which your star can be increased or decreased for that matter relys heavily on what other mylotters think of your responses and opinions. For example when anyone posts something here to the right of their response you will see both a plus and minus sign. If you find the post useful you can select the plus and of course selecting the minus sign would have a negative effect on your star. Your star if ranked from 1-10 and is rated out of 100 which can be seen when you hover your curser over it. Hope this gives users more idea of how the star system works and what it actually means.

Mine is 6 and there was a certain time I think that was last year when I got 3. What does that number really mean? Do we need to get higher or lower is better? My husband said wow when I got 6 but he forgot to tell me why?
