Using Myspace for advertising for Mylot referrals...would it work?

I was just thinking of a way to advertise and possibly get a bunch of referrals. I have a myspace of course (who doesn't by now?) and was thinking of plastering my referral link from here in strategic locations throughout my page. I have an auto-friend adder program that can send up to 500 friend requests per day...I know other people adverise all sorts of things on myspace, but noone here ever talks about whether they are using the method I described...do you think it would work?

I think it could work. I found about MyLot from a bulletin in MySpace. I haven't posted it to my page yet. I posted it in a bulletin but I don't know if that is where either of my referrals came from. I posted in one of Yahoo groups too. Good Luck on getting referrals.

There is nothing wrong with trying it. Worse that happens is ummm nothing at all lol. Best case senario is that you end up with a lot of referrals suddenly.

You can try putting either your myspace site or your direct referral page by using traffic swarn. I have gotten a number of referrals from there. http://www.trafficswarm.com/go.cgi?583365

That's how I found mylot. I put my referal link in a couple bulletins but no one has signed up at least not using my referal code anyway. I am just gonna keep doing it until someone signs up. It cant hurt, I imagine.

It depends on the Terms and Conditions of MySpace. I don't see anything against it. What I would object to (personally) is being clobbered by an 'auto-friend adder' program. Not to put it too finely, that is spamming.
