getting closer to m y bro...

My brother and I are not very close, this bothers me because we were always very tight growing up. We are only 2 years apart and up until high school we were very good friends as well as brothers. Somehow along the way we just became 2 very different people, we are now adults and have families of our own, I would love to get closer to him and his children but it seems like we are from different worlds now. Any advice from you fine mylotters?

Hello timmons! I heard that being married would really affect the friendship or anything what you did when you're still single. Maybe take time to visit him, do the things that usually do when you're still close and single.

This is very sad! But at least you can do your part! Like dawnald said, 'invite yourself into his world, and invite him into your world!'
At least you will be able to console yourself, that at least you made the effort to renew the friendship, ya'll once had!
And don't ever give up on your efforts, nor turn your back on him!

Call him up, invite him places, offer to trade off help (like with heavy work around the house or something), offer to watch the kids together or separately. Invite yourself into his world and invite him into yours.
