Ok so once a month we either eat out,take out or have something delivered. Tonight we decided to try a resturant we have never been to that delivers. They have italian food and american and pizza. I got the spaghetti and meatballs, mom got the lasagna, and DD got chicken fettuccini. They all came with garlic bread and salads.
IT WAS FANTASTIC! I love surprises like this it was sooooooooo good and the serving size allows for leftovers for lunch tomorrow!
Don't you love it when you get a pleasant surprise?

A little off topic but what is considered "American Food"? Hamburgers?

Well what they consider american food is hamburgers,french fries, nachos,wings,sandwiches, then they also some fish and shrimp and calamari selections too.

Hey sweet! That all sounded delicious! And yes I do love
when I am pleasantly surprised! I especially like it when I
am brave enough to try a new restaurant and it turns out to
be great food, plenty of it and enough for left overs for
the next day! You all picked really great dishes too! I don't
know which one I would have picked! Maybe the chicken fettucini!
And they all came with salads and garlic bread! Can't go wrong
with that!

Yep it was very good. They are on our "A" list. They are so nice on the phone and everything too. We were able to use and keep our coupon too for next time WOOHOO!

Oh I love surprises like that as well. I just wish my husband enjoyed going to places besides fast food. A nice sit down resturant would be nice to enjoy with someone rather than eating alone.

I so hungry right about now! My mouth is watering...torture, how can you do this to me and it's lunch-time and I've nothing to eat. I guess I'll have to run out and grab some Italian! LOL Hopefully I will receive a pleasant surprise for my taste buds too. Delicious surprises like yours are welcomed. Is this restaurant local or national?1 person likes this

It sounds superb, you lucky thing.
I'm writing this early in the morning, but that doesn't stop me from being jealous and developing a craving for something Italian. It's the idea of lasagne that's getting me excited. I might even do some for our dinner, now that I have the idea in my head.

Ooooh that does sound yummy. I could, literally, eat my way around Italy. Come to think of it, I love to try all varieties of food. Could probably eat my way round the world!!!! Probably not a good idea though. Not good for the waistline. Anyhoo, like yourself, I do love it.

I am always kid of leary of trying new places. It is so hard to find things that everyone likes. I am glad it was good and made two meals.

I do love nice surprises am glad you got left overs and they where good. I know you will be going back there.
We go out to dinner once a week. I am looking forward to it. I do not know where we are going to go but I know it will not cost much because I got coupons. Ihop and burger king coupons has mailed coupons out. We will see which ones we use.

yes I would love that, at times it would be better not to expect too much for you become happier than expecting too much and if it doesn't reach your expectations you get disappointed. Hope I will be able to eat something from that restaurant too. the food that you have mentions sounds yummy indeed. drooling...

Yeah! I love trying new places, to eat or visit. Sometimes you get something horrid, more often it's ok, but it's a real treat to find something delicious!
I found out I love fried dumplings, Chinese. I never knew that.

Yes, I do as a matter of fact. I think there are many good restaurants and I love going to all of them. I think it is really fun to go out and it is particualray nice when you are not expecting to have something delicious to eat that you don't have to cook.

Yes! It really is great when you get a really great meal to talk about. I love it when this happens myself as sometimes (or most times) when trying a new place you are extremely disapointed and think "What a waste of money"
That meal you had sounded lovely. I am starving right now and I am just debating on what to have.
