My sweet little creepy crawlie

Since I've moved to my own house-my first!-there is a strange phenomena I experience as I go to sleep. I turn out the light and close my eyes and see flashing red lights. After awhile, that goes away and if I open my eyes I can see a tarantula-type creature crawling along the wall. Sometimes it moves over to my bedside lamp.
This used to scare me, I'd turn on the lamp and there was nothing there. I've come to accept and even welcome the little creature as a regular bedtime companion. It eventually goes away, it must have something to do with light reflections inside my eyes, but it has become very comforting. I really like my little creepy crawlie and would miss him if he were gone.
Do you have similar nightly hallucinations? There is no reason for it as far as I can see, I don't take any medications and rarely indulge myself with alcohol. It's just a nice, comforting companion. How about you?

It's rather comforting after I accepted it. Kind of like someone to tuck me and my doggies in at night.

it is mind over matter. The mind is creating the tiny creatures which actulaly do not exist. The mind is so powerful that it can create almost anything from nothing. No Newton's laws are applicable when the midn creates objects. No Einstine's theory is valid. All that matters is an active mind and a vivid imagination. I have not had any such himages created in my mind, probably i do not have sucn a vivid imagination like you, but yes I do see dreams once in a while.

Isn't it wonderful what the mind can do? I've always had a great imagination and it comforts me now that I'm all alone. Dreams are our reward for a day well lived.

I used to think i saw bugs when i closed my eyes when the lights were on but I was told its actually my veins in my eyelids that I'm seeing. Although i admit i see things when i dont wear my glasses ...or technically its i dont see whats really there. Lights look different with my glasses off...the look like how the christmas star is shown in pictures with all the rays coming off it. And if i turn my head sideways the rays coming off lights..light bulbs car lights etc move too. it happens with my glasses on but not near as much but still bad enough i have a hard time driving in the dark.

I never thought of the veins in the eyelids! I wonder why my little spider moves, though?
I'm glad to know that I'm not alone in this, sometimes I thought I must have something wrong with my mind.
