Overweight people (like me) find it extremely hard to burn calories. Last time when I recovered from a flu, I found that I had lost weight and wanted to maintain it at that level. In spite of consuming very little food, I found that my weight increased. Does it have anything to do with my body retaining water? Is losing water from my body a good way of losing weight?

Losing water from your body will temporary bring down your weight. you will see your weight swing up again when you refresh the water. It is not a preference way to lose weight. Again, effective weight lost is to burn off the fat. You just need to be consistence with your exercise and have good dieting plan. Check out my blog for some info on weight lost. You can find it on my profile.

Drinking plenty of water can contribute to weight loss. It is also essential for a healthy body, since water assists our body in the elimination of toxins, especially through the kidneys and the skin. I would not recommend losing weight by losing water. Having said that, you may need to visit your doctor if you have a water retention problem, since your body may not be working properly. Hope you get sorted. :)
