Tropical islands are pure bliss

It is so incredibly relaxing to visit a tropical island and spend some time in the sunshine. I like to see palm trees, white sand and an aquamarine ocean. I enjoy going snorkeling if there is a coral reef nearby.
People that live in a place that has many tropical islands like those from the Philippines are very lucky. Those that live in the USA or Canada have the Caribbean Islands relatively nearby. People like me that live in Europe have to go to the Caribbean, Africa or Asia, all about a 10 hour flight away. I have been to St Lucia, Kenya, the Seychelles and the Maldives from my homeland. People that live in Australia or New Zealand live fairly close to the South Pacific Islands so they are really. From there I have been to French Polynesia, the Cook Islands and Samoa.

I have been to the Grand Cayman Islands and I absolutely LOVED it. I can not imagine spending time anywhere else on a tropical island. The snorkeling was AMAZING. The beaches differed depending on which side you explored. Swimming with the stingrays. Lounging on the beaches in the many hammocks, sleeping the day away after many days of snorkeling and bicycling through they town.
I so wish I could go back again. The Caymans were astounding.

I loved the island of Antigua as the beaches were so white and hardly anyone on them so it was so peaceful and relaxing! I might even be lucky enough to go back this year as my friend has won a trip to a certain hotel chain and it means one of the choices is Antigua! She has said she really wants to visit there but, if she decides on one of the others then I will be happy either way! x
