Are you picky about your coffee brand?

I don't drink coffee, but I got my brother a coffee pot for Christmas because he has been saying he needs one. I also got him a can of Maxwell House coffee. He is drinking it, but he says he really does not like Maxwell House coffee. He is a coffee snob. He likes more expensive coffee. Are you picky about your coffee brand? Or will you just drink whatever is cheapest?

we started roasting our own a few months ago which works out well for us because we like strong coffee and to buy the green unroasted beans cost anywhere from 3.50 a pound to 22.00 for jamacian blue mt.but when all else fails i head for starbucks italian roast nothing else will do or espresso but the beans have to be dark black and still have the shiny oils on them which makes the crema.

My mom likes to get the green ones and roast her own.

We generally buy what is on sale. Sometimes it is Maxwell House. Right now we have Folgers. We do get expensive coffee sometimes. It's usually a treat.

Or whatever is on special offer! I do have my favourite brand of instant coffee which is Kenco, I just love the taste, and I am not that fussy in that instant is acceptable, I like fresh coffee but at the end of the day as long as it's coffee it's good enough for me! Although I do tend to avoid Supermarket's own brand or the really cheap stuff with cheap labels. They do vary but when I need a coffee fix anything will do! Coffee coinneuseur I am not.

Personally, I prefer Maxwell House (the smooth kind) because it's the only brand that I can adapt to my taste the best and it's the only brand that doesn't give me a stomach ache. I've found that, the more expensive the brand, the more acidic my stomach is when I'm drinking it. I don't know if it's because it's stronger or what, but it isn't pleasant.
