Diabetes is not a scary disease. If you discover that your blood sugar has gone high, stick to your physical fitness schedule. Even if you are too busy to give time to a 30-minute dancing in your room or walking from your office to the bus station, stick to your schedule. Remember, diabetes can harm your eyes. You can have your limbs cut off if you are in the late stage of the disease. Think of these consequences and you will stick to your schedules. I do all these things and I discover that my blood sugar has stabilized.

Thanks, vanities, for leaving a comment on my page. You are right.Medication is needed for advance cases of diabetes. But self-discipline is still important even with medication. Sweets are very tempting for diabetics and this is where your will to make your blood sugar stable comes in. For people who are just in the early stage of diabetes, just like me, a sustained exercise program and watching their sugar intake will spell the difference between keeping healthy and advancing to the severe stage of the disease.

That's great that you can maintain this disease. I have both kinds in my family so I know one day I will face one, either Type 1 or Type 2. My mother is a brittle diabetic, not the norm. She is one who can follow every regiment out there closely...and i mean to the T...and she goes from 300 sugar count to 45 in a matter of hours. But since she got with a specialist who actually understood how different of a diabetic she was...she has been the most stabile in my whole life. Growing up I found her countless times in diabetic comas, reactions, etc. Thank God for the specialists who know what they are doing.

Thanks God, taface412, that your family has a very good doctor. For families with diabetes in their genes, they really need to be knowledgeable about preventive and curative measures about diabetes. And add to that the resources needed to manage the disease. Diabetes is an expensive disease! I am glad to know that your mother got all the needed medical help.
