Questions about legalizing the wacky Tobaccy?

Okay so I heard the buzz (no pun intended...well okay maybe a little) about marijuana (wacky tobaccy as I call it) becoming legalized. Now it got me to thinking about some things here. Personally I do nto care one way or the other if someone does it in their own home....But
How would they control it? Like cigarettes I suppose with a high tax. But with that control what about the drug tests at people's work. It's not like alcohol where say you went out and drank the night before and you go into work and SURPRISE random pee test...well the alcohol is gone, right. What about if you smoke a big fat dubie the night before and then go to work and SURPRISE a pee test (or even a week later) and it comes up positive. Pot stays in your system for awhile. So this would not be good for the pothead. Or it can be an excuse for the junkie who claims it can up positive because they smoked a dubie...
ALso, how hypocritical is it to pass a law for recreational use of a drug when they are so hot against smokers? I mean when a person smokes marijuana there is second hand smoke there, but instead of coating your lungs with tar it gives the receipient a contact buzz....and pot burns brain cells. If you don't believe just try to speak to one who has been a habitual user....
What about the kids who live with people who will smoke pot in their homes? Kids should not suffer burnt cells because their parents need some type of escapism.....
I know for years there has been controversy about legalizing marijuana. ANd I think medicinal reasons should be suffice enough. Otherwise you smoke keep it to yourself. Because if it becomes legal I can just imagine what will happen to our fastfood industry (except for the boom in Big Mac sales) when we already hear horror stories about the workers....and worry about food...not to mention the other service industries where people are being cared for...
The only good thing I see is the drug dealers being outsourced by the Federal Government.
