N30, you said all that I have wanted to. Not that my last and the only was anything bad, to be regretted, but that it didn't go through. So, the next one -that will be for me in my next life(Oh! Don't you worry, we Hindus truly believe that there will be several lifetimes, er, even if others don't I do, that's for sure)- yes: The value systems must match, we must be looking in the same direction, it must be known in advance that Love can be consummated without the bother of caste, community and what not in addition to social status and such other worldly requirements. And I fervently hope that I can still feel that very fine and divine emotion called Love after taking all the above into consideration, to make it failure-proof.

.. for me, I would see to it that I'll be the priority.. I have to see to it also that we are in the same faith so that we be partners in faith.. He needs to be a responsible, loving person..
