I got promoted at work!

Yesterday I got a call from the Director of Nursing while I was sleeping. I had to work nightshift the night prior so when I woke up my hubby told me that she called. I phoned her back and she offered me a full time position for nights! She gave me a day or two to think about it and talk it over with my hubby. Last night I returned to work and left her a note thanking her for considering me for a full time employee and after giving it thought and of course talking it over with hubby, I would accept. So today she called me back to thank me for taking it and gave me my new schedule. For me this is going to be a challange because I went from a point four to full time. Lately I have been picking up a lot of hours offered so she was very pleased to see this and offered the position to me.
Have you ever been promoted? How did you feel about it?

well Congrats! and I had a feeling you would get it.
Last job I had I seemed to promote myslf for I ended up as no2 lead on the line I worked on.
Many people at other work stations thought I was no. 1 and wouldhave beenif I hadnt had to move back to Tenn for 2 years. When I came back the kids I trained to do the work were the leads lol

Yes it was quite a nice shocking suprise when the DON called me from work asking me if I wanted a full time position. She added that she didn't want to just give it away to a casual employee before offering it to me and I would best suit the title. I won't disappoint them and they will be happy they have given me the chance to do this!
