Will Obama change the world? Of course that remains to be seen. In some context he has already changed the world just by being elected to the highest office in the most powerful country in the world. Obama has forever changed the culture of what is possible for anyone. Of course he was in the right place at the right time and took advantage of it. Had the economy not tanked so badly and had not George Bush not so badly aleinated the world against the United States Obama probably would not have been elected but it is still possible he could have won over with his enthusiam and intellect. It could be that his abilities would have won over at any time. Obama fulfills and reimagines the American dream of the land of opportunity and home of the free and the brave. Can that transfer over to real progress that can help change the world? There are four areas that will tell us. The Economy His military and foreign policy decisions His ability to lead in alternative fuel and enery conservation His ability to inspire American to volunteer and serve. In the economy Obama is pleding the greatest economic expenditure ever. Will this lead to greater jobs and economic flow? He believes so. I predict he will improve the economy and in his second term will substantially work down the Federal budget to well under a billion. I predict Obama will start a limited draft and greatly advanced the message of hope of the United States by providing Peace Corps and Advisors to help underdeveloped countries grow. He understands that the first way you can influence people is by helping them to help theirselves. Alternative fuel and energy conservation and infra-structure high tech advancement is where Obama has the greatest chance to change the world. By showing leadership and boldness in these areas he can have the greatest cultural advances since the invention of the telephone. Will electric cars and talking computers become the norm? To accomplish these advances the number one challenge Obama must accomplish is to inspire the people to a service greater than themselves. Will he start a new military draft? Willhe make a stint in the peace corps or some other service organization mandatory? Is his ability to inspire so great that people will automatically be inspired to serve and feel it is apart of their responsibility to help change the world?Their is alot of challenges before this 44th President. Is he up to the task? Some have question whether this is the sign of the apoclyse? Is Obama the Anti-Christ?I prefer to think think that things are working for providence and its up to us to open our eyes and find a way to connect to the change that God has put before us.

So far I believe he will continualy fundamentaly change the U.S. So far, not much remarkable in the way of policy. I'm seeing a lot of continuity in the changes that have been slowly taking place. We will still have t.a.r.p. we will still have no reguard for posse comitatus, we will still have border agents setting up road blocks in the middle of my state, we will still have federal economic balckmail of state governments for non complience to things like REAL ID, we will still have FISA, we will still have the Patriot act (possibly worse), we will still have out of control spending and deficit. The only thing that will change is the name on the desk plate and protesters in the middle east protesting the war in gaza will be shouting "down with Obama" instead of "down with bush" I still find it astounding that people screamed, "change!", then voted in one of the same two parties we have been voting in for over a century.

Obama is just bringing back morals to the domestic and foreign policy of America, Obama is a thinking man, whos is going to weigh options, i looking at bush like theodore roosevelt and obama as Woodrow Wilson, Roosevelt was like a cowboy, Wilson whom roosevelt coudnt stand, was a man of morals, but still put america's interests ahead. i think both were good presidents but roosevelt who left before ww1, didt want to stop germany while he was in office, he wanted to watch who would win the balance of power. wilson, saw what the germans were doing and believed this was morally wrong, and garnered american support by arguing any war is a threat to america. weve seen what bush's cowboy tactics did, you cant fight a group of people who dont fear dying.he was a wrong president for the time. bush acted like roosevelt would have if he had the chance to enter ww1. i think obama is ganna try to tackle the middle east in a moral, stand offish way i really think he doesnt want to touch the issue...and will put susan e rice to work to get the un to do something like they should have at the beginning of this ordeal.

I honestly couldn't give a krap about the middle east. Besides, what is different about his middle east policy? As far as domestic policy, I have already laid out how he is no different than Bush on a number of things.....more of the same un-constitutional junk. Does no one read his record or policies?

Hey, I honestly believe that Obama won't exactly change the world just yet. But I will continue to think that he WILL change the U.S for the better. I can't exactly tell the future so I don't exactly know. Happy MyLotting!

hi sourceseeker! well, yeah, i believe so that obama will change the world. what kind of change though remains to be seen. you see, whatever decisions that he makes and whatever moves that the united states will make, affects the whole world. so whether obama will effect positive change will remain to be seen, the fact is, he will indeed change the world. it is just hopeful thinking for me that indeed obama is different and his programs will be better for the americans and the rest of the world. take care and God bless you! :-)

Every US president in our history has changed the world, it is just a matter of if it was for better, or for worse. The United States is the powerful country in the world, and the of this country impacts the entire world. I personally think that his green ideas will change the world for the better, but I could be wrong.
