In 1935 Lazzlo Javor, a Hungarian poet wrote a song called Gloomy Sunday that was later put to music by Reszoe Seres. The record became a big hit. Lazzlo Javor's former girlfriend, for whom the song had been written, committed suicide shortly after the record's release. Suicide reports continued to occur, found dead while Gloomy Sunday is playing on the gramophone of their rooms and even holding a note which says Gloomy Sunday. In all, there were 200 suicide reports around the world that were said to be connected with Gloomy Sunday. (see more of this at http://planetnerd.synthasite.com/gloomy-sunday.php) A more shocking report was heard when in 1968, a Hungarian jumped to his death from the 8th floor of a building. It was Rezsoe Seres, who had never been able to write another hit after Gloomy Sunday. Still, there are certain things to consider before going to a final conclusion. A record shown that there was a scarcity and crisis of food during that time. Most people are feeling desperate and helpless that suicide possibilities could be high. But, there are also things in this world that could be beyond our understanding. Such things that we don't believe but exists. We feel these forces but we deny it and oftentimes, considered as just a mere illusion of one's mind. You could agree or just laugh that Gloomy Sunday was once a song of suicide? But who really knows?
