I have been working for the hole holiday of christmas. So I tok six days of from this monday, supposing to clean the christmas out. It is now, my fivth day of, and I still have not done anything about it. I have been online everyday, the hole day´s. Without doing any cleaning at all. And I still have no feeling of doing it. But I guess I have to start sometime, So I might try and get away from the computer and start today.
But no feelings for it today as the other days.

I actually took down our Christmas tree yesterday. Took the bulbs off it and put them into a giant ziploc baggy for better, uncluttered storage. Then I took the tree apart and put it back into the box and stashed it away for later. Everything is pretty much cleaned up now and I did it all without any help.

I never pick down my tree, I put a plastic over it as it is, put in to the storeroom with the lightballs still on, however all the other stuff I take down. I just do not have a tree to put away, I have about three hundred santas to store in boxes. But I have some thought about it, I have a room I need to clean up and there I have some shelfs to use for storage things. I might storage all the santas over there. It is not a room I like people to be in anyway, I only have closets in there, with my clothes and sheets and stuff like that.

Well, there are still some stuff in the bedroom that i need to put away... like the paper bags i got from stores where i bought the gifts... keeping the extra gift wrappers... and delivering the gifts that were not yet given to the person they were intended for... hopefully i will have the inspiration to do all that before January ends... but right now... i am just to lazy to do those tasks...

So now that 4 months have passed since you posted this discussion, did you finally get it all cleaned out and put away? I left all of my decorations and my tree up till about January 15th as I wanted to enjoy them longer.
I am never in any kind of rush to put my stuff away because I really enjoy them. I also put up decorations for halloween and left them up for about two weeks. And right now I just put my Easter decorations all away, just yesterday. We also put up decorations for Valentines day and left them up for about two weeks.
My daughter and I put up decorations for all holidays and birthdays because we think it is a fun thing to do. We also think it is fun to go shopping for these decorations and always have our eyes out for more. We usually buy all of our decorations after the holiday is over and get them a lot cheaper.

We made the cleaning last January 1.and brought back the old decors we have.I guess its alot easier when you have less decors during xmas time..

I use my same things from year to year. But I put them away in boxes and in the closets. I take it out on the first of december ant put it out on 20 of january. I use a tree of plastic so I save it to as long as it is dark outside the tree lighten up a bit.
