Check out "Wrong Turn" , Set in the hills of West Virginia. It is about the effects of inbreeding and what happens when individuas make a wrong turn . my next favorite horror movie is "Vacancy" , a couple is secretly videotaped while in a motle room, and all their horror is caught on tape . These movies have hada lsting impact on me , I don't turn down dirt roads I don't know and I am extra cautious on the ones I do know. And when staying in a hotel I am always looking for unexplained holes and wires .. When you watch them let me know what you think, and if you have already seen than let me know what you thought.

Sorry about the spelling of motel and a few letters I missed in certain words. My fingers got ahead of my brain and I hit post before proofing .

I am never really scared when I watch a horror movie, though I am one of those people who are often caught by the "cheap jump scenes". I jump.

I love horror movies. I actually have quite an extensive collection of Zombie movies. I dont really get scared while watching because I know that the stuff happening isnt really happening and its hard for me to get over that to the point where I would be scared.

actually im sad to say the second hostle movie just to know that im sure theirs people in the world like that creeps me out and i didnt even finish the movie.theirs been a few other movies like that that scare me but to be honest horror movies for the most part dont give me a long time scare cuz their all the same.but sicological thrillers usually scare me more because you know the people in those movies actually can be real people.the things that scare me in movies like that are rape and child abuse somehow that scares me alot more then monsters and aliens

Ya i got scared when i watched the movie Grudge alone in my room at night..for nearly half an hour i didnt feel anything but as time went by and the things began to move on i started to become more scared since everyone in my house was nearly a little far from me and i got the tension of the movie and then i kept my room door open since i had been too anxious and then i paused the movie for five minutes took my time off and told me myself that this is just a movie and continued watching it even though i had fear in my mind....Happy mylotting...

Not anymore. But I remember, when I was a young kid, I used to frightened by horror movies, such that after watching a movie I won't go alone in dark rooms etc.

Hi, I do not get frightened by watching horror flicks, but earlier, when I was a child, I used to get scared a lot by horror movies, so much that I would not even sleep. My mother would do her best not to let me watch scary movies but I found them a lot interesting and always wanted to watch them. Regards, AJ-Rox

hello punter_sit First of all let me tell you my favourite genre of movies are horror & thrillers, especially psychological thrillers. There are few movies which have certain selected scenes that too me a little frightened...Not exactly frightened but I was suddenly taken aback. Some of the movies are The ring, grudge, mirrors & most recently shutters that i watched last night. I think its the magic of the movie which makes the movie even more interesting to watch.

Well, yes! During my early years, we watched nightmare on elm street, that was the most frightening film i've watched! it brought me nightmares, i as was scared i don't want to walk alone at nights, all lights should be on, i can;t go for errands even just accross the room, i was just so affected at that time! But glad that i have overcome it through the years. LOL. =)

When I was younger I remember my mom watching The Exorcist on tv and I was hiding behind her. Everytime I seen that demon's face I was so petrafied from it that I've never forgotten it from that day on. It still bothers me when I think about how I felt at that age. Another movie that scared me was Blair Witch Project because it seemed so real and even the rumors that followed this movie made me beleive it more until I found out that it was a hoax. After I found out it wasn't real, I watched it again and still felt creeped out. In the last century I would suggest seeing Wrong Turn, Chainsaw Massacre and Hostel. All of those movies I will never forget because they really truely scared me. Hills have eyes (the first one that came out) also gave me chills. There's something about evil deformed people that scare me badly. Have a nice night

Yes I do. When I was little I watched predator 1 and got a fever after watching it. Funny isn't it. Although recently I got a little chill from watching The Strangers. Some parts annoys me but all in all I liked the movie.

Only one film truly frightened me and it happened when I was a child. Films don't frighten me at all now, especially the newer films like Saw. I think those films aren't the least bit scary. You hear people cheer in the theater when people get cut in half. Horror films don't scare people anymore. They want to see the bloodshed.

Yeah, I get freaked out really easily; but also during the same movie I can find myself laughing just because of some stupid lines or the plot "twist" being extremely stupid (IE: The Messengers). Most horrors just aren't worth my time. I would probably enjoy the genre if it wasn't so cliche/a gore fest anymore. The music is scarier than what is actually going on. The gore isn't scary, just freaky in terms of imagery.

i don't know abotu frightened DURING the movie, but i have watched a few movies that had left an after-impression on me ... Which isn't exactly nice :( Its like it makes me super sensitive to my surrounding environment, and makes me jump at every sound there is when i'm alone. One of them is "The Grudge" the first one and im sure The Ring would do that too anybody.

well, there're these Japanese horror flicks like The Grudge, One Missed Call and Dark water which are kinda scary, but maybe not enough to leave a so-called lasting impression! But ya, one movie which is still kinda scary when i remember it at night has to be 'The exorcist'. It's not as much the graphic elements of the movie as the subtle realization of 'what else can happen' coz frankly, exorcism is a pretty hazy area, and the uncertainty of things is the best way of leaving a long-lasting scare in viewers' minds.
