Many people are confused by the term soft rock.It just deals with rock music but not hard core guitar but milder version of it.However many of the people will prefer soft rock as it is more pleasing to the distress persons. Many would prefer hard rock when they are very young.

When I was in high school just about the only thing I listened to was hard rock, now referred to mostly as classic rock. LOL But today, I will listen to a lot of soft rock music...as long as it is not too soft.
I really enjoy the music of Billy Joel, and I think he would fit into this category. I also like the sounds of the Eagles. But then again, I still listen to a large variety of music. I like the oldies, soft rock, classic rock, classic country, and some of the newer country music.
I guess I'm pretty easy to please when it comes to music. My friends have even introduced me to some newer music like Nickelback that I think a few of their songs sound pretty good.
Thanks for starting this discussion. Have a good day!
