So far my toddler son has been to Portugal, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. Next week I shall take him to South Africa. Cape Town has a mountain, pretty beaches and some penguins. I am glad that I am bringing my child up to love traveling. Did you begin traveling when you were very young? If you have children where would you like to take them?

And I know he will enjoy it:) This is sort of a thing everyone says but Africa can really be a magical land. I applaud you for being there to help your child learn to love other peoples, other cultures, other lands... it's a wonderful gift. I did travel quite a lot ever since I was very little and I loved most of it even when I wasn't sure I was loving it. I miss it too, since my life in the last 20 years has not allowed me for what I used to do before. As for my children, we have tried to give them a taste even though we're not able to give them what I had. We took them camping in wonderful places, we showed them that we can find incredible things when we explore, and on occasion- when possible - we have traveled with them. We have even allowed them to travel on their own ( My daughter was in Portugal for a year when she was 16 ) and my son will be allowed to do the same when he's a bit older.

You do have a remarkably well-traveled toddler! I think, though, that the trips you take when he's older will be even more memorable. I didn't travel too much when I was young -- just around the United States a bit. To tell you the truth, I think my parents were somewhat "traveled out" after they had me because they'd already been to Europe, the Middle East, India, and California before I was born. My older sisters got more travel time than I did! Hopefully, you won't be traveled out by the time your toddler is older so you can go on some more great adventures together.

Hello maximax. So you are leaving for South Africa soon. It is a good place to visit and stay when it is so cold here in the northern hemisphere. When it is too cold, I miss summer and warm weather. Have a nice trip, friend.

I did a lot of traveling when I was young. Many states in the U. S. A. and provinces in Canada. I think it has made me interested in the world and love traveling, but I also long to travel and have no money. People who have no money and don't like to travel, I think are happier than me right now.

I think its great that your bringing your children up to travel. I would love to travel more, but money is tight sometimes. In 2009, I would like to travel more, but we'll see because we have so many animals as well as three children at home. My older child as moved out now (nearly 22). I would like to visit Rome one day, I hope you have a wonderful time in Cape Town, the thought of a lovely hot beach sounds great
