How Often Do You Write in Your Paper Journal?

Do you keep a paper journal to write in on a daily basis, or do you write in randomly? If you write in it daily, is there a certain time you prefer writing over others? If you don't keep a paper journal, is it because you prefer blogging or is this just something that doesn't interest you?
I've filled fourteen paper journals (8x10 hardback books) since 1997, and I don't forsee myself stopping anytime soon. I write in these books because it helps keep my grounded to the "writer" within me. I write whenever the mood hits me throughout the day, but I find that the majority of my writing happens after my children have settled in for the night. When my mind relaxes, the words begin to flow!

I have a bad wrist, so do most of my writing on my computer. Therefore I have relied on my memory as I can only write for ten minutes by hand before my wrist starts aching and my writing becomes illegible. Before the accident that broke my left wrist, I was writing about once a day, but since then I find it hard to do. So unless I get enough money to buy a laptop, my writing when I want to and where I want to is limited to the computer room.

I have been writing in journals for 30 years. I have a very large plastic storage container filled with my journals. It is full and I need a new one.
I don't write every day. Actually, I just finished writing a bit in my journal a few minutes ago. I have been itching to write since Christmas, to record everything that has happened, but I hadn't written in it since December 15th! An inspirational CD I was listening to while on the treadmill today prompted me to open my journal and write down things I like about myself, things I know I am good at. I tried to get 20 but got to 18. Then I wanted to start writing about the past few weeks. I stopped because it is late and hopefully will get back to it tomorrow but I am waiting on a stupid load of laundry that didn't start when it should have. (My machine's not working very well). I want to get the last load of clothes in the dryer before I go to bed... and it's after 2am now.
As for what time of day I write, I don't think there is any particular time. When the mood strikes me, usually in the morning but sometimes late at night like tonight.

A friend of mine got me to writing in a journal around 2000. I wished I would have started a long time before that. It is a great way to vent your feelings and just let everything flow.
I don't write in mine every day, just when the mood strikes me. Sometimes I will write for 7 to 10 days straight, and then sometimes I may go that amount of time without writing in it at all. It just depends on how I am feeling, and how much time I have during the day.
Keep writing and have a great day here on myLot!

At any one time, I'll be writing in about 4 or 5 journals on a regular basis. I have my nightly journal, which I use to record the events of my day and several random journals that I carry with me and write in whenever an idea strikes me.
