Do you ever snoop through your partner's internet activity?

I try not to be a snoop but I occasionally take a little tour through the internet history on our computer, often just to get to a website I was visiting recently. I couldn't help but notice that my fiance visited the Ben Moss website recently and while I don't like to be a snoop I'm just a little curious! Have you ever snooped through your partner's internet history? Did you find something good like I did or did you get a nasty surprise? How did you handle it?

No, I don't snoop into his internet activity. I know a few sites that he goes on, and checks out on a regular basis. I trust him and I have no reason to snoop into his things.

I personally think so. It should be like this. However, it is not always the case.

That's good, that's the way it should be :)

The only snooping I do is with my child's history. Most of the sites my wife goes to I either already visit as well or I wouldn't find all that interesting. As far as I know she never goes through my browser history either. She might find a surprise or two if she did, but I doubt it Just out of curiosity, what, exactly is a Ben Moss? Never heard of him.

LOL, it's a jewellery store! That's why I can't help but be curious.

I think I might have done it once or twice, but I usually know what my husband is doing on the computer. It's rare that he's ever on the computer while I'm not sitting right next to him. We each have our own and they're right next to each other. Usually he's on E-Bay checking out cars which he'll never buy, or he's on Facebook playing Mob Wars or something similar. If I did decide to snoop to see what he's been up to, I'd be disappointed because those are about the only websites that would come up aside from Craigslist.

Yep, mine's usually looking for car parts or downloading music. Far from scandalous!

I used to snoop.....that is when I found out some things about his internet activity that I found offensive. I told him how I felt about it, and he said it wasn't a big deal. I countered with--"if it isn't a big deal than you should have no problem giving it up." And he did. We haven't had any issues since. Iused to check up on him....but it has been less and less and is almost unecessary now. My biggest issue with him now is downloading crap on the computer that makes it run slower.

That's good, so many guys keep the 'it isn't a big deal' attitude and the only thing they change is hiding it better in the future.

With the auto-fill feature on and history in plain site if you're looking for your own history I'd have to make a special effort to NOT notice my wife's surfing history, and once I get on there I can't help making a quick glance through. I suspect my wife also notices and can't help snooping either so sometimes if I've been looking for a gift or something I'll erase the history.

I found what I found just by looking through the address bar history to pick Mylot, actually. So I really wasn't snooping (not to say that I never have) but you're right that you really can't help but notice.
