If you run a marathon and drink lots of fluids....do you make a pitstop or what?

This might sound a bit odd, but then again I always tend to think up the odd questions...but when you run a marathon and you are constantly drinking fluids to keep you hydrated...well would that not make you need to go to the bathroom? And I know those marathons are long so as you are running....what do you do? make a pitstop? For the ones who aren't in it to win it...i know it's not a big deal but what about the ones who are leading?
What brings this thought up was I was flipping through the channels and came across the Chicago Marathon on the documentary channel.

Your body will use the fluids to keep you hydrated and keep your muscles from cramping. You "go" after the race when your metabolism settles down.

Like I said I had to ask. You never know what kinds of questions roll around in my head....thanks.

pissing is the bodies way of removing waste. so is sweating. most likely you'll be sweating enough that you won't need to pee.
