Do you save your contacts in your sim card or cell phone and why? i see many people saving the contacts in their cell phone which is a waste for me since i will be changing the cell phone for every two months and once i had my contacts been gone because my cell phone got hanged and it was really very difficult for me to get the contacts again but some how i managed it and now i save them only in my sim since i use my sim card for a very long time...

Hello balacancer22! Like you, I always save my contact list on my sim card. It's just that, everytime I change my cellphone, it's hard for me to save again all on my contact list. If it's in my sim card already, then there's no hassle in transferring all the numbers.

Ya thats what i'm also stressing over here and you also feel the importance of saving the contacts in the sim card since both of us are frequent cell phone changers..

your logic is correct, but for my lifestyle, it is better that i save my contacts on my cell.Whenever i travel i use a different sim in that state but the instrument is same. don't you think it is better for me to save the contacts in the phone itself. To save you the trouble, let me answer the question myself. As i have only about 150 contacts, i have the them saved in both. I think this puts the agument to rest!!!

Ya thats cool but in some phones that i have used will be having the names two times since they show both the contacts only..so it would be difficult in that cases and i accept that you should have your contacts in your phone only for your case and i will save it in my sim card only..i have also upgraded my sim to 64K from the normal 32K for saving increased contacts...

Hi Bala, Now people are very much depending on cell phone and they are keeping the data either in mobile phone or in computers. Regarding the sim or cell phone, for safety it is best to keep the contacts in sim so that in case of any damage on phone you won't lost the data. People like you, who are changing phones frequently, can also use the same method otherwise it is a difficult task for them to save the contacts again in new phone. For me I am saving my contacts in the SIM only. But the urgent and important contacts I try to keep in my own memory. I think it is a good habit by practicing the same you can boost the memory power of your brain too (lol).

Just like you, I want to save my contacts to my sim card rather than on the phone itself. This way, even if i remove my sim and use another phone, the contacts are still there. I learned from my previous phone which I saved most of my contacts in my phone but can't transfer it when i removed the sim inside it.

I save all mine to my cell phone's hard drive, just because I don't have a sim card and don't see myself changing phones any time soon :D

Its different for me i would prefer to save those in my phone, i change my sim more than my phones. So i dont think its worth it to keep the contacts in sim. But this is not a big deal i think evan if you change your cell you can copy all the contacts to the sim, or if you change your sim then can copy to phone it doesnt take muchtime. most of the time i even do not bother if they are in sim or cell. thanks
