Chinese students are very good in taking test. They have high IQ. But maybe influenced by the way they are educated, they lack initiative to originate something or their own, or creativeness. It takes quite a long time to catch up when going abroad to continue graduate study. What sources could you recommend to get better prepared, say, on what is normally the process of doing research, writing thesis, technical writing skills? Thanks in advance.
