I'm a first time mommy with my first. I'm having a boy and my due date is on the March 17. Sometimes I feel like I have so overwhelm with stuff i have to do. I started a new job in July and I have yet spoken to hr to figure out how long I will be able to be off of work. Everyone knows that I am pregnant at work. But I don't think I have been working long enough to have paid leave. Then last week, I get call from the nurse at my doctors office saying that he will be closing his office on March 29th so i need to find me a new doctor. So next week I will have my last appt. w/ him then I need to find someone esle. I haven't thought about a pediatrician to go to after he is born. I'm such wait to the last minute person on everything.

This happened to me during my first pregnancy - my doctor moved to Ireland and gave up medicine in the United States! I was so scared, but I asked her to refer me to another office and it all worked out. When it came to my work, I left my job and started working for myself. I wasn't working at my job long enough to earn maternity leave, so I had to come up with a reasonable solution that would enable me to remain gainfully employed . . . while raising my newborn. In the end, I don't regret anything that's happened. It was overwhelming, but it was just one of the MANY challenges parents face. :)
