I have recently tested positive for the hiv virus and am now having to take the drug atripla! Is there anyone who is or knows of someone who has tested positive and is now having to take the meds atripla or meds of anykind for this virus and how have they affected them and how has it been possible to deal with such and awful diagnosis?

Well I have someone very dear to me who just started taking the medicine a week ago. I'm starting to learn more and more about he medicine as I think it is so important for the whole family to know what this person is going through. I'm sure with alot of research you and your family will learn alot about it, and of course asking your doctor tons of questions which I'm sure you're already doing, lol. I've heard so much negativity about that medicine but I've also heard so many positives about it. The person I know who has just started is actually doing pretty awesome for the awful things I first heard they'd be going through on first taking it. We've still got a long ways to go to see how it affects him since he'll be taking it the rest of his life, but we'll all be there to support him and be by his side no matter what happens. I wish you the best!! Keep researching, asking questions and most importantly taking care of yourself, healthwise because that will be what keeps you strong and enjoying your life:)
