A dear friend was cremated yesterday. The family and we her friends cried a lot as she was being entered at the crematory. WE are allowed to enter the room, the pain was unbearable. I went out sobbing, I can't bear to see my friend being cremated. I won't choose cremation in case of death. How about you friend would you favor cremation

I'm truly sorry for your loss. We'd all love for those about whom we care a lot to love forever, or at least for as long as we're alive.
My husband and I both want to be cremated, even though that violates religious precepts. we want our ashes to be mixed and strewn in the straits between Miami and Cuba. That way, we can be together forever if there's anything to what's left after the soul leaves the body. We're sure our souls will be together forever, and we're hoping for reincarnation so we can share another lifetime of bliss.
One of the reasons I think cremation is a good idea is because there have been too many cases of mixed-up or discarded bodies so that the land can be used for other burials. Besides, there's an element of pollution and just a sort of gruesome use of property. Where will all those caskets go?

thanks, I understand your point and I admire you being concerned with the land that can be used for other burials instead. Also one thing nice the loved ones can bring home the ashes. I preferred however to be visited at my tomb, when the time comes. Thanks for the response.

My husband's mother and step father passed away within 7 months of each other and both have been cremated for that's what they wanted. Their ashes will be spread out where they want them to be sometime this summer. Were you able to see the body of your friend as it burned? I've heard of people being in the room as it was happening but I don't know if they actually saw the body as it was going through the process. As for myself, I really don't know how my body will be cared for. Cremation is the cheapest way to go but it's not for everybody.

Oh my gosh! I couldn't do that either!! That's a wee bit morbid for these people to watch. I don't blame you one bit for walking away!

Hello bing. I am sorry for the loss of your friend. But I am wondering how come you were allowed to get into the room for cremation. I would never go to such a place to watch. It is too scary to me. But speaking of cremation, I think that most of the city people who pass away will choose to be cremated unless it is in the remote country. Painful as it is, yet we won't feel it after our leaving this world for another one. It is not our choice, but we will have to follow the mass. Take care.
