Yeah this winter we are above normal for snowfall. But for January we are really behind as this is the second day of measurable snow only this month. They predicted 1 to 3 inches. But then the storm took a turn to the north and we are now saupposed to get 5 to 7 inches. I've got 6 inches so far easily. Plus the winds are getting strong. Up to 40MPH gusts later exp[ected. Going to make for white out and near blizzard conditions later tonight.I love it though. I get sick each turn of the seasons due to my bronchial asthma. But I survive it though. I've been coughing for a few weeks on and off due to the cold that we had. This week we are not getting above zero for the whole week. Down to nearly 20 below zero at night a couple times as well. Wooh..thats cold, I don't think I'd be able to stand it, I hate cold weather, I have thin blood, so I think I'm freezing all the time, my husband thinks its funny. He wants to move more up North someday, because he likes all the snow and cold weather, he likes to hunt his dogs, and he says it doesn't get cold enough here for the critters to be out, he just went on a trip to Nebraska after Christmas, I know he'd like to move up there, but I don't know if I could stand it..lol.

HiYa! Haven't seen ya around a lot. This storm here is heading SE. Lot's of snow but in a small area all at once. It's real light flurries now so about done with 6 inches here. Starting tonight we may not get above zero till the weekend. \ High winds and windchills down to -35 also here dues tonight. Down to nearly -20 also a couple nights as well. Got me plenty of blankets though. I'm ready for this artic blast. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I really don't like severe wind chills. My bedroom is like the Arctic. I'll have to pile on even more blankets. We're going to be experiencing similar wind chill to what you're having, over the next week.

Mysnowblower gets fussy once it gets to -10 or colder. Seeing my garage isn't insulated I will be bringing it indoors tonight more than likely. I have a long drive but not long enough for a plow though. But a lot of area to cover with just a shovel buy hand so I need my snowblower. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

This is tyhe most in a single atorm to fall at one time for me. I've had a lot of days wqith 1 to 3 inches. Once we got nearly 8 inches. Now I want one of those one foot storms. Getting artic like here right now. The winds are starting to whiop the snow around and the temps are already near 0 here. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

You can have all the one foot snow storms you want, I don't want anymore of them down here. We have alot of snow outside. Its so deep the animals can't get thru it, they have to hop thru the snow. The weather just was on, we have snow every day this week and turning windy and cold. The high temp on the one day will be below zero, down to about -13, brrrrrrrrr.

Buster also has to hop to get around out back. Being a Minnesotan dog he loves it too. Really chilly right now with a windchill of -20. KRISTEN'S

Originally the track of the storm was South of me. Was predicted 1 to 3 inches. It moved North a ways and I got nearly 7 inches total here. Loved it too. Here's the side of my drive by the garage where there's not much room left for the snow to go. The snowblower is almost at the max as far as blowing it high enough to get over this almost 3 foot high mini-mountain now. Speaking of artic air, I just took this photo a little while ago. It is -5 with a windchill of -25 right now. Was a little nippy out there. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Savak, I don't know how long you have lived in your state, but don't count anything out until you see the tulips coming up. We lived there for 5 years, and in 1993, they had one of the worse ice storms. I came home that weekend to where our home was and I got snowed in for 6 days. My husband tried getting home from work and the ice was so bad, he ended up having to pull his truck off into a development and walking 2 miles to our apartment. He said he almost froze! The trip from and to work that usually took 15 minutes took him hours to make that day. So hold on until the temperatures start to really warm up in the Spring. By the way, that was in March when that happened.

Point taken, I will not count anything out. I, too, have seen drastic weather changes at times and my daughter just told me that one year here it snowed in April.
