The timeless battles in the Gaza Strip, the mass killings in Darfur and the ongoing fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan is devistating. It's as if the world fell and broke into pieces and no one can afford the band aids to put Humpty Dumpty back together again. War is costly, and the aftermath includes years of financial strain. I'm constantly asked to donate money to various causes, such as Gaza, Darfur and foodbanks in the USA. My heart goes out to those in need, unfortunately the current financial situation leaves me unable to contribute financially. While I believe things will get worse before they get better, let's hope it's a short bottom and the rebound will be high.

Don't you see a common thread between the wars in Iraq, Afghanistan and Gaza?Better see and note the roll of your Govt. in all these. It is worthwhile. It is not desirable to be so aloof and detached.

I'm not aloof, and have denied the role the US has in the current situation in Iraq and Afghanistan. As far as Gaza, there has been fighting in that region since before America even existed. While we took the side of the Israelis, the fighing in Gaza has to do with a lot more then the US. I just think it's sad that children in various countries suffer as a result of war and they wait and help if it comes at all is slow, and many die waiting.

Hitler, Stalin, the great depression, the worls is falling apart. Meaning that we go through good cycles and bad cycles. This is a bad cycle but I believe we will recover. Hopefully sooner rather than later so that too many people don't suffer.
