It is true that if you can't see a person thru the window, he can't see you too?

Hi, is it true that when you look out the window and you can't see the person outside then the person outside can't see you too? I asked this question when I went into a restroom in the ground floor with a window and there is a window facing the restroom a few feet above it. Made me wonder if people on the other side can see what is going on inside the restroom...

I don't believe the people behind the other window could see inside because both windows were reflecting light, which is why you couldn't see in. With a regular window and the other person being outside, the opposite would be true I believe. If you can't see the person outside it's because it's brighter where you are than where they are...which also means that they can see in.

Nice analysis at least I am more assured this time that there is a bigger possibility that the person on the other window will not be able to see me inside the rest room as long as I don't see him/her

I agree hehe I have no idea what the person who designed the building was thinking. Or maybe he knows that the person looking through the window will not see the person inside the restroom
