Do you always open your front door when a stranger is knocking?

People come to my home and bang and knock,ring the door bell like they are crazy and I do not open the door. Especially when I do not expect anyone and If I do not know them. Why do people think if your home that you have to open your door just because they are knocking. And kicking my door just pisses me off. In this day and age when people areknocking on doors with false intentions I do not trust no one coming to my door.Not even the police I will call the station and find out what they want. I am thinking about putting a sign on my door,If you do not have an appointment please do not ring the bell as it will not be answered. Please go to a payphone call this number to schedule an appointment. I have a free phone number I use for people I do not know and when I do freebies and certain things online. Am I wrong or paranoid? or do I have every right to feel this way? How do you feel about this?
