How do you utilize the time during nap time?

How do you utilize the time during your child/childrens nap time? Do you take a nap as well? Do you clean the house? Or do you just take that time to relax? My daughter will take 2 hour naps. So I like to clean the house for about an hour, sometimes I can get things done in 30-45 minutes. Then I like to sit and watch a movie or catch up on my favorite shows. Sometimes I will even go on this mylot site and spend some time on here. If she takes a nap at night, I like to enjoy a hot bath. The only thing I can't do is take a nap, even if I didn't sleep very well the night before. Some reason naps throws me off for like the rest of the week. I always feel crappy afterwards. Unless it's a power nap. And for me a power nap is 10-15 minutes. Anyway, How about you?

I definitely make use of the time when either or both of my kids are down. Even if it's just my 17 month old, I'll use the time to watch tv, clean, do some computer stuff...whatever is needed at that time.

Most of the time, if my girls nap at the same time, I will try to nap too. I guess that it kind of depends on what I need to get done. If I'm not tired, I use the time for finshing my laundry. If the house is messy I use the time to clean up. Or I will just start dinner so that I don't have to worry about it later. I think that there have even been some rare occations when I have used the time to take a nice hot bath to wind down from a busy day with my little ones.

Nap time is when I take a shower, make phone calls (very difficult to do with my son around), mop the floor and occasionally, if there's time after doing the stuff I have to do, I'll sit and relax with a book or watching TV for a while. I rarely take naps because it does throw off the rest of my day, and because I have things to do. I sometimes plan a nap, just as soon as I shower, call some people and then just when I'm ready to settle down for a little snooze, my son wakes up.

when my son was very young i would usually use the time he napped to get caught up on housework and phone calls and paperwork. if for some reason we were up the night before and i did not get a good nights sleep then i would nap with him. after awhile i looked forward to that nap time for me too and when he stopped napping i was disappointed and found it hard to stay awake the entire day but eventually i got used to it. now i babysit from 9-6 at my home for a 4 month old so when she naps i catch up on all my household chores and paperwork.

I get the rest of the chores done and then go online. My rest happens during the quiet time that leads to the actual nap. I get to lie down and relax a bit. If I'm done with my list, I either start prep for dinner (just the chopping and mincing part) or get some brief shuteye too.

i don't have a child yet at the moment... but when i was still a child, i used to take an afternoon nap every day after school for at least 2 hours after my lunch... that's the thing that i miss now because i can't do it anymore as i am working full-time... but when i have a child in the future, i will definitely use the time that my child is sleeping to take a nap as well... i enjoy sleeping a lot... take care and have a nice day...

I try to nap when the kids nap, but like today the eldest a lot of the time doesn't like to nap in the day.. so she is laying in her bed quietly and i am mylotting waiting on the baby to wake up. .

Naptime is my favorite time of the day! I usually sit down (for the first time all day it seems), watch some tv, and get on here and do a few posts. I do end up getting up and putting laundry in, doing the dishes here and there. I can't fall asleep during nap time. I watch other kids too, so it wouldn't be very professional of me to sleep while other kids are in my house. Boy it would feel great to take a nap once in a while.

My little guy only naps for about an hour-an hour and a half each day now, so I don't have a huge amount of time to enjoy! When he was an infant and napped twice a day for 2/3 hours, I used one of his naps to nap myself. As I got used to the sleep deprivation, I started using his naptimes for things that i couldn't do while he was around. Clean the bathrooms, mop the floors, dust, stuff like that. Now, I use his naptimes to do whatever I couldn't get to when he was awake. Study, catch up in the office, return phone calls/emails, fold laundry. Occasionally, I try to catch my fav shows which I have to record.

well i do not find time to nap since i am away to work and my son sleeps 2-3 hrs during daytime. My mother in law takes nap along with him.I see if he sleeps on time during night because me and my husband get tired after day long work. On weekends when i am home when he sleeps,i do some household works which are pending like altering clothes, making food, ironing clothes etc.

I honestly hope that my toddler never gives up her nap time! That's when I get everything done. Laundry, dishes, a brief workout, shower, pay the bills..etc. It's not that she's a bad kid and needs constant supervision. It's just that I only have so much time with her before she hits those ages where I'm no longer her hero. Right now she relies on me for everything. I like it that way. I want to spend every second I can with her. Watching her grow and teaching her new things are the highlight of days!

I have a 1 year old and a 2 year old that is 13 months apart. I have finally got them to where they take a nap at the same time. That was hard in itself!! They usually will take a 2 hour nap and I like to take advantage of this for my computer time. I am constantly searching for ways to make some money while staying home with my kids. This however has been a real challenge for me. I just found this site today and it does look like alot of fun and could bring in some money.
