I used to try all different kinds of toothpaste. It just really depended on whether my teeth were sensitive or if I wanted to whiten them. I now use Creat Pro Health. It's a tad more expensive than the regular Crest but it covers all my needs. So I actually save on some dental costs in the long run :) Also, it was nice to see that my dentist also gives out the same kind during checkups.

It's a paste though it has baking soda in it so it feels a little gritty.

Whatever brand for toothpaste, I used it. Not choosy about it. Sometimes we would buy Colgate, Close-up, Unique, Happy...

Like you, even I started with colgate & stuck to it till my parents were buying the tube for me. The moment i had the buying power, i started experimenting with various pastes from herbal stuff, gel to powder. I had read in a journal that it is better to change the paste occasionally. This practice ensures that the germs do not develop a resistance to your paste. I guess , i took that advice too seriously. Later on i discovered that gel pastes are not good for the enamel & finally i logged on to paste called glister from quixtar company. I was impressed by a demo of their paste which proved that the paste had oval particles to polish out teeth rather than the harsh particles in other pastes that scrub our teeth & damage the enamel in the process. Since the demo, i have stuch to Glister. They say "seeing is believing"

I really like Close Up but I use whatever I can get for the lowest price. If I have a rebate offer or a good coupon for a specific toothpaste I will buy that one if it makes it cheaper than the others. If I can't get a good deal on one of my favorites I will use something else.

I never use a single brand of toothpaste regularly I keep on changing my toothpaste ranging from all price and all types like sometimes herbal and sometimes the medically recommended ones, in the same way I prefer to change my brand of soaps and shampoo also, I like in that way only, trying all types of brand is good feeling also
