Makes you wonder why

I think this would be good to reduce inflamation - I think this would be great for circulation.

Well by now a good lot of people know I have been all fired up about this pedal exerciser. Well lilybug was on top of things and thanks goes out to everyone else as well. NOW...Makes you wonder why, because lilybug found me the proper link in Ebay I actually found the exerciser so I sent seller a question asking how much the shipping was to Canada and I still didn't get an answer, so in the listing it gave a number to call for any Question Please Call Devine Medical Supplies (Santa Fe Springs, CA) 562 7432703. I called and I'm told No they are not allowed to ship to Canada. I asked him why that was, and all he'd said was, "Sorry mam I can not because that's the law." Makes you wonder why? Thank You everyone you've all been so supportive. Have a Great Day Folks.

That is so nice of you and I appreciate that, but another myLot friend # 6 is going to speak to someone she knows and I'll see what she finds out. I will not allow any of my friends here do anything that can get them in trouble that's for sure. Thanks hun.

They said they can't send it to Canada, they didn't say someone else couldn't. What I do is up to me. If it's any consolation, my mom has one and she had to add aheavy piece of wood on the bottom of it because it slides like crazy. She spent all that money and now she can't use it I forget why. She tried to give it to me. I didn't care to have it. Hers just don't have how long or how far you've went....I don't think. So now it sets in the shed with other things she thought she wanted or could use, lol.

Oh my goodness now you have me concerned. I certainly don't want a board under it. Could you please find out which kind it is and let me know. Do you have a picture of it. Thanks my friend.

Well that sure stumps me. I guess your only recourse then would be to have a friend stateside receive it and then ship it to you.

That's right but I don't know anyone there. I would not ask anyone to do this for me unless I could be 100 percent positive that was legal and how do we do that?

Let me email a buddy of mine that is an ebay seller and find out for sure. I'll get back to you on that. We can probably do it without any trouble I just need to find out what law they are talking about. Chances are it only pertains to retail companies and not private sellers so doing a kind of drop ship like I suggested will probably not be breaking any laws.

9-11 did change alot of things but if we get stuff from China I would think it ok to get this exerciser from U.S.A. to canada!

Please don't think I'm off my trolley or anything but I can't help in thinking that when 9-11 hit things changed drastically. I think the change was bennificial and needed in some areas but in others it's over the top. As you said this is an exerciser not medication.

If the company cannot ship it to you, can anyone else. What if a friend or relative purchased it for you and sent it to you? Would that be against the law?

I don't know but myLot friend (response #6 is going to speak to a Ebay buddy) I can not believe how so many people here are wanting to help me and I don't know anyone personally. I really want the Chattanooga exerciser and the fellow (I think was the boss) told me that they are not allowed to ship to Canada I asked why and he said that was the law. I don't know anyone personally in the US and I will not have anyone from here help me with this until I am 101 percent positive there is no risk to any of my myLot friends. This is no BS the folks here on myLot have been better to me than my own family, excluding my daughter, son in law and two grandchildren. I will NOT put any of you at risk that for sure!!! Thank You for your response you're a loyal friend.

I heard it was when I wanted to get my Olympus Digital Voice Recorder and the only kind in the store was the WS310M and I wanted to get the one that allowed one gig, but they would not ship to Canada. Not only that, I was also interested in learning Spanish and the software program that was recommended as the best (besides the Rosetta stone that costs an arm and a leg) could not be shipped to Canada and yet they can ship them to other countries. I finally got the WS320M and it was the only one left in the store after going to all the computer stores, Radio Shack, etc. I really wanted the WS330M that had more space, but that was not shipped here. Our duty and custom fees are so high that by the time it reaches us, it may cost three times as ready. That trip to the States sounds pretty good now, even if I have to save an extra $1000 to do so.

Neither do I. I think it has to do with NAFTA. Well I have over one thousand dollars saved to go to America, I guess I will have to go down there myself if I want to get anything.

I's hard to keep up with all this modern tech and whether we want to admit it or not the older we get the harder it seems to get in touch with all that there is to learn. I've heard it said if you have trouble with your computer ask the first kid you see and they'd know. This business of not selling to Canada has me miffed. I just don't get it.

That is strange. It does make you want to dig into the interstate(country) commerce commission and find out what is the deal.

You know I never thought about that, but I expect it'd be the same old thing no one know anything. After awhile it becomes a bit overwhelming. Thank You for your response my loyal friend.

Gee whiz, even I can come up with a better reason than that, thats sounds so lame. Canada is a big place, you would think that they would have some someplace that you could buy one. They are not that uncommon. Have you done a search at Amazon or As seen on tv, I think I have seen them advertized on tv before. Good luck.

Because that's the law? That sounds a bit fishy to me. It sounds like they are being lazy and whatever not so pretty words you want to use along with that. Good luck on getting one of your pedal exercisers. Those things are awesome.

Well yes I think it would be great for me but trying to get it sent here leaves nothing to the imagination, I have thought of everything and anything pretty much. I haven't given up totally.

I thought it might be on eBay, but am surprised to hear that even there they cannot ship to Canada. Perhaps you will find a different model with the features you want. Best wishes.

Hey Grandmaof2! So that was the ending? That was what they told you? It was the law? Now what could that possibly mean? So no matter what you do you just can't have that particular piece of equipment because you live in Canada, but everyone else that lives anywhere else can purchase it with no problem! So if someone on Ebay wanted to sell it to you, could they? Or would they still be restricted by the "law"? I honestly have never heard of such a thing! It really does sound a bit crazy!

It is crazy and in answer to your question as far as I know Yes anyone selling on Ebay could ship it out, but this company is a distributor for Chattanooga and Chattanooga will not allow them to ship to Canada. We live in a twisted world. I also spoke to three other companies that offered toll free phoning and all three of them said to just get someone from the US to send you one, they can buy it a lot cheaper here in the US than our web price. I couldn't believe my ears, it's no dam wonder people are so dishonest, it's encouraged these days, Unreal. Nevertheless dear friend Thank You for your response.
