I won't go to my hometown and visit my elders

The Spring Festival will come soon.Usually,we must go back to townhome and visit the elders before the festival.But i sitll escape it.Because i won't see them.They like the lessons of others.And they like ordering others to do housework.I must wash all the bowls and dishes and so on every meal.It is big work because more than 20 people have a meal together.And i wondered that they never ask boys and other girls to work except my younger sister and I.The only happiness is to see my cousins and we get along well with each other. They will take us to many places to taste the traditional hometown snacks. Do you think that i am selfish or what?

perhaps it's a little bit selfish because it's a tradition in your family to visit them next week. But you're old enough and adult.
So it's up to you although they won't understand it that fast because they have the old thinking in their mind.
