This past week I have had 2 discussion's,"Amber Alert" and "I wonder" about a 13 year old girl that was adopted. This little girl had special needs child with the physical ability of a 10 year old and a mental capacity of a 6 year old.She went missing and then was found dead 2 days later. Her adopted mother showed no emotion. Tonight, the police arrested her for child neglecte and filing a false police report with no bond. They also went into the home and confinskated a lot of stuff and went into the backyard and dug up dirt from the yard. They will not release the autopsy results at this time. However they did say that the little girl was killed in one location and then dumped in the creek. Unless they are thinking of adding more charges then why would they arrest her for child neglect with no bond and she has no other children. Do you think that they are possibly going to add charges after they test the dirt?

This is the first I am hearing about this. She girl was probably killed or it is suspected she was killed in the home. I always hear case where they do not want to release much info. They probably do not want to acuse her without evidence since they can be sued for that kind of thing. I hope they find this girls killer and stop the mother from getting anymore kids.

That is why they should not assume that just because a person is unable to get pregnant that she can love any child. There are too many cases of this when the woman discovers that she cannot handled a disabled child, and the child either gets returned, or suffers years of unloving, or is killed either outrightly by neglect. In Canada, we go through a stringent number of tests and you have to say that you are willing to take on a handicapped child and if there is any doubt, the child goes to another family. I wonder if the woman knew and lied saying that she did not mind getting a little girl who was slow. If she did, they will possibly add charges and even if she protested that she did not want a handicapped child, I do believe the social service agency is also culpable. Anyway I think charges will be laid.

I totally agree with you. I am also thinking that she thought that she could handle a handicapped child. She told everyone that was watching tv that her daughter was skitsophrenic (I don't know if I spelled that right) and that she had abandonment issues.I think that after awhile she seen that it was too much. And then with the economy the way that it is they needed more money to take care of her.I just moved from the subdivision that they live in and it has more foreclosure homes then the whole state of California. I am not giving as an excuse but the reason she could of possibly done this if she did.

I know. It is just it is hard for me to think of something nasty about someone. She had no excuse. She could have said, "sorry I cannot handle handicapped children" and if they refused to take her back, and tried to make her feel guilty, she should have left her at the social services office. But she did not.

This is horrible about what happened to that poor girl. I feel sorry for her. I have never heard of this news but I guess the step mom should be held responsible for the child since she is a special child she should have taken care of her much. And why didn't she show any emotions on this? was she glad the child is gone. Even if this was not her real own child she adopted this child to treat her as her own she should have felt something or reacted somehow. If I lost a child even if not my own I would cry a million tears. I love children and I don't want any getting hurt or killed. I do hope that they find out what really happened on this case to give this child peace wherever she is.

I guess they would since they are looking for more evidences in their investigation. They might not have enough evidence as of yet that is why she is charged with child neglect only but since they were issued a no bond then they must bethinking a more serious charge to give her.

I guess the police needs to find a link or a proof to really charge the mother to be the suspect in it. When charging them at courts sometimes they can still get out of it because of a simple technicality in the performance of the investigation so I guess the police is just making the necessary procedures to make the case acceptable in courts.

I hope the adopted mother gets punished for her cruel acts. I know, she is not yet guilty. But I honestly hate to see kids being neglect and I if she has special needs, this child deserve extra attention. I read so much about people who adopts just because of the extra money they earn from the government for adopting a child with special needs. This is terrible. I have a daughter who is 6 and also has special needs, her mental capacity is that of a 3 years old, so I don’t let her out of my sight even at home. How can the adopted mother show no emotion, she was girl mother. Children being abused, neglect and killed and the parents walking away without any charges. This needs to stop

It does sound suspicious, they must think she had something to do with her murder. That poor little girl. If it was the so called mother who did it, I hope they can prove it and then she can be locked up for ever.

She will probably be charged with additional charges later. They have a protocol they must follow. I'm sure they have found enough evidence to charge her already. They just have to be certain it will stick.

It sure sounds to me like they are suspecting her of the murder. I but the little girl had some dirt on her that was not at the crime scene and they are testing the dirt to see if it came from the home.

I sounds like to me that she is suspicious. When the girl had been missing for 36 hours and the woman was on tv she showed not emotion in her face or even in her voice. When she was on tv after they found her daughters body,my daughter said to me that lady seems like she doesn't care, she's not upset. And I had never said anything to my daughter to give her the idea to say that.

Oh my! So there was really a foul play on it? Honestly, I really didn't know that the child was adopted. Well, I hope the investigation would clear up whether the mother has to do something with it or not.

Wow hadn't heard about this until now. I would have to say that if they find something in the dirt samples, they might just be considering adding charges. Personlly I think that if they find out that it was the adopted mother's doing, she should be locked up for a very long time. I can't believe that anyone would hurt a child, there is just no excuse, people like that are just plain sick.

If they do find out that she had something to do about it they will lock her up for a long time. Inmates do not like people that have hurt or killed children. So,I hope that they would put her in there with no protection
