Do you have carpets in your home?

It is nice to see while wool carpet all over the floor, or well patterned colorful carpets laid in middle of the living room, but attending to them is nothing interesting. If not well taken care of, they get dirty easily, and in humid weather, very harmful to health. Are you sure your carpets are not harming your beloved? I used to have one, but now is rolled and leaning in the corner, silently and helplessly. I just cannot affort the risk.

We rent our house and it does not have any carpets anywhere in it. It only has bare wooden floors that were once painted and the paint has worn off mostly. We have a big oval rug in the living room and another rug in the kithchen under the kitchen table. There are no other rugs in the home. The house we lived in before this one has carpet everywhere but the kitchen and bathroom and I hated it.

I have carpet in my home, just some part. I like it when the weather is cold but I dont like it when they wealther is hot. every 6 months, I rent a steamer to clean myself and it cost only $40 tho. well, i have small children and they love to roll on the carpet, so if I pull it out then they might get injure more. So, I just keep it the way it is

We have carpeting in all of the rooms except for the bathroom and kitchen. I would love to replace all the carpet, but it's a bit out of our price range at this time. We'll just have to deal with it for the time being. Maybe next year we can talk about it.

hello zhuhuifen, We used to have carpet in our living room. I bought it in Texas when the company sent me to have training there. Even bought a lot of things like vacuum cleaner, soap and the likes so we can use in cleaning it. But then we find it hard to clean and maintain. So we decided to remove it and better if we just keet it. It's really nice to have carpet at home. It adds color and life to the house. I admire those who has that can maintain it looks and cleanliness. I wonder how they do it. But then, now you're saying that carpet is harmful to our health. Thanks for sharing and I'm glad that we don't have one anymore.

I have wall to wall carpeting in my apartment and i must say it is nice where my old place had all wooden floors. I do know that they can get dirty fast for I have seen some of them in other homes. In my place the rule is shoes come off when you come in the door. I have been here for 3 months now going on 4 and mine are clean and will be kept that way. Once every 6 months I will run a rug shampooer through it to make sure it is kept at it's best.

The only carpet in my house is in my kitchen and on my stairs. I do not know what possessed the people that sold this house to my landlord to put carpets in these places and leave the rest of the house with hardwood floors, but they did. I am hoping that pretty soon, I will no longer have the carpet in the kitchen. I would like to have carpet in the bedrooms at least, but right now, there is none, and we just have to live with it.

We have carpet all though the house but in our next home we plan on hardwood flooring. It is easier to care for and is more durable as far as I am concerned. I hate my carpet, having two children makes it very difficult to keep clean.

My house used to have more carpet than it does now, but my dad had our family room and study renovated into hardwood floors. But the front living room and upstairs are all still carpet. Where I live, it's too cold during the winter to not have carpeted floors, so in my opinion carpet is necessary. We get ours cleaned out and disinfected once every year or two, so it's really not that bad.

We only have a area rug in our livingroom & in our bathroom rug beyond that our floors are hardwood or lineolem (?sp). But with 3 kids and as much mess as they make and as careless as they are I'm thankful we do not have our home fully carpeted.
