Warning ! Net-Worm.Win32.Kido

Kaspersky Lab has detected that multiple variants of Kido, a polymorphic worm, are currently spreading widely.
Net-Worm.Win32.Kido exploits a critical vulnerability (MS08-067) in Microsoft Windows to spread via local networks and removable storage media. The worm disables system restore, blocks access to security websites, and downloads additional malware to infected machines. Users are strongly recommended to ensure their antivirus databases are up to date. A patch for the vulnerability is available from Microsoft. My suggestion is :
Keep ur M$ automatic Update lively and be careful with spam and unknown attechment from e-mail. :-)

I don't like M$ ,too. M$ is big empire in software world. and it became a target of public criticism. In crowd, there are hacker. They can make benefit from find exploit of OS or other software. So M$' OS is always under attack.
and what can we do is to get information of that and prevent ourselves from that.

This is so scary stafiel! Thanks for letting us know thus useful info.
I use a flash drives most of the times and now i am fearful. Someone told me not to keep the updates on. should i keep it on?

thnx for replying at first.
and Ur friends' advice is truly in recent days before. Because MicroSoft has published BlackScreen project to strike illegal piracy.
and now I think it's Ok 2 keep it lively if ur OS is genuine.
and My addition advice is to install a famous antivirus software. keep its database uptodate.
and if u close the OS' update function. u should found other third-party software which can path M$'s Pathes in ur software list :-)
