well games are played to win...so everyone playing wants to win it ...it is obvious, but saying that to other team, is good for consoling or if the losing team says to itself that is also good coz, its not that we have to lose hearts if we lose one game, there are next time always and this is the spirit that the sportsman has the will to win next time.

i have heard people say that when they were winning but it was still to annoy the losers by acting nonchalant about it

Win or lose I have always told my kids it's only a game and not to take it personally. Now my grandkids are learning the same thing, yes when they lose it is hard on them but they know it is part of life, you win some and you lose some.
"It's not whether you win or lose, it's how you play the game" is what I grew up to know.

Yup.. Especially when it's a friendly game among two good frenz in different teams.. lol =D That's how the winning fren will console the losing fren of theirs.. lol =D Though it might sound sacarstic to some, but it's always better to have some form of encourage to the other team ^_^
If the other team cant take it, then it's too bad.. As some do really mean it, while some just wanna add salt into their wound.. hehe

You got a point there. But I think that best thing to remember is in a game someone will win and someone will lose. Of course, winning is always the objective. But we have to instill in the mind that its not the winning that counts but rather how you play the game. As long as you give it your best, thats what matters most.

I doubt it!
That said, it IS only a game and people should relax, especially when their children are the ones playing the game. Here in the U.S., Little League baseball is for small boys through teens and the parents sometimes act horribly, cursing the referees and even their own children when the game is being lost. It should be fun, not a competition.
