Traffic Jam - They are still on their way...

And I escaped it narrowly. It all happened few hours back. Our office colleagues are trapped inside a terrific traffic congestion. It would hardly take half an hour to reach their destination. But from 9.30 am till 5.00 pm, as per the last available report, they could not cover that distance. The road is completely blocked.
As such, the place is normally marooned but because of a religious festival, now that place is over crowded. Also, there was an accident in the morning, which has made the situation impossible.
Matter of fact is that they told me to be a part of this tour but I decided not to go this time. And I think I'm fortunate.
Now my question is that what was the maximum time that you got trapped in a traffic jam?

You're lucky then. Being caught in traffic for several hours is no joke. that happened to me once, and I was thankful I had a book with me, because even if we want to leave, we can't as it was raining cats and dogs. The span of time was almost 6 hours, and the trip was supposed to be only an hour. cheers.

In fact it took them another another 6 hours to reach the spot!!! I think you always carry a book with you. Good habit!
