Domain Name Listed without Permission!

My question is: How do you get a website (business) to correct an error?! First we are a respected business, and this website is using our Domain Name as one of their links. During a search on our Domain Name on one of the popular Search Engines, I was researching the page rank our business was listed on, and to my surprise... found it listed on a site not respected. I was not sure of the content of the site, until I visited the website, Wow... I was very upset, and do not know how they can do this, without permission. This site list our Domain Name as a LINK, but there is no link to or from that site, only our name mentioned. I think it is their way of gaining more traffic to their site, buy giving names that will link them to more pages. I am not experienced with how this works, and now to go about addressing this type of issue. Do you have any suggestions?

That does seem like a troubling issue, if I understand correctly. You might be able to send a message to the search engine you are using to indicate the website is trying to generate false search results.

I am not that well educated on this subject, but you might check WHOIS in the Network Solutions website. There may be some info that can help you to resolve the issue. Good luck.

I don't know what to do I know legally they aren't suppose to list your site without your permission. I'd write a letter to the admin and tell them to take your link off of their site now or suffer the consequences. What ever they mayy be, lol. You will sometime find out something you can do to them for posting it. But threaten them now about it.
