Of course, this is a story out of New Jersey. We do get more than our fair share here - I can't help but wonder if it's because we're so densely packed we begin to fragment. I don't know. Anyway, here's the story.... http://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news/local/Good-Dog--Bad-Bad-Vet.html WOW! I have so many mixed thoughts. The only thing they're charging this person with is the Unlicensed Practice of Medicine. To me that means that despite the lack of training, he/she wasn't harming the animals or misusing the money given to him. Perhaps he really was doing the things he claimed to be doing, just not through legal channels. If so, I can feel more sympathy for him than if he was outright taking money and doing nothing or pocketing the donations. Yes - he operated illegally, but if he put all the money into the animals, the worst thing was that he was unlicensed. Do you agree? Or should it be treated as though he was also guilty of Theft by Deception? Since they're not charging him with that, I can only assume he was doing everything a legit vet or rescue service would do, just without a license. What do you think? Of course, that doesn't keep this from being a very strange news story.

Hey jerz~ They are saying in this article that some of the animals that were treated and innoculated might have been given wrong medications or no medications at all! That is a crime! He is going to be charged with endangering animals if this is true! He is not going to get away with what he did at all! He is a criminal, not a do-gooder! He may have hurt the animals, not helped them! He lied on the websites, scammed people out of money and didn't use the money to help animals! Read the article again. This guy is in big trouble and he deserves it! He might have caused more harm then good to alot of animals all over the tri-state area!

i could look past the other stuff-but if they had no training whatsoever i'd be furious.should an emergency come up with a procedure, who's to say if he/she could deal with the problem? scary.
