I have been going out with my boyfriend for over 3 years and were recently talking about getting married? What do you think is good age to get married? And how long do you think someone should go out with a person before they consider marriage?

I personally don't think that there is a best age to get married, an age which would apply to everyone. I think it depends on the individuals in question. I think that if you both feel to get married, then that's when you should get married. I personally think that it should depend on that, on if you are both ready. If you are, then go for it!

I don't think there is any one right answer to either of your questions. I mean, certainly, it's not a great idea to marry a person you've only known a day, I'm sure there are some marriages that start that way that are very happy, just as there are marriages in which the partners have known each other several years before marriage and they're miserable. If the person is right for you, then they are right for you, regardless of how long you've been together. As for age - well, I know 18 year olds who can handle marriage and I know 40 year olds who can't. It really depends a lot more on a person's maturity and capability of handling a commitment like that. If you and your boyfriend are ready and you're of legal age, then you should do what feels right to YOU - regardless of some arbitrary ideas of the right age or the right amount of time to date. Good luck!
