Have you tried one particular diet that works only for 2 weeks and after 2 weeks victory you learn that the you get more weight that you before do the diet... This is happens to me a lot of time, very frustating and almost make me hate myself. Its as if i am destined to be fat forever. Perhaps anyone would recommend the best diet that really works and long lasting?

hi! first of all, if you lose weight and then you gain weight again, then you are on a diet that is too difficult to follow through. A diet must not be a source of torture. it should be enjoyable for you to be able to follow it for the rest of your life. for example, a lot of people skip breakfast to help lose weight. after a few days, they do, but then they gain weight in the end. this is because they end up craving food the entire day after being famished in the morning. follow a diet that is backed by medicine and research, not by pop culture, not by testimonies. during med school, i participated in a month-long information rally on obesity & endocrinology. i then summarized the salient parts of dieting and wrote an article, which you can view in my blog: http://ask-doc-alma.blogspot.com. dieting should not make you go hungry; in fact, it should make you feel full so that you don't end up craving and gaining weight all over again. anyway, just read my article. hope it helps you. :D

Hi, I just make a blog for "Losing weight in healthy way" here http://loss-weight-pounds.blogspot.com There is several reason why people fail to reduce their weight if you don't have time to go there. 1. Portion size is too small or large 2. They skip meals, especially breakfast 3. They don't eat often enough 4. Eating too many "bad" food 5. They don't allow themselves to have a treat every now an then. Hope can be helpful for you.

I have been overweight all my life. I don't think any diet will work. I think you have to change your lifestyle. I suggest joining weightwatchers. It is a little expensive, but it works. They will teach you how to each and how to exercise and you will not be hungry. I have lost 22 pounds since October and my sister has lost 70 in a year. It works. Try it. It might change your life.

Or you may stick to one diet that will last for all your life. It is much better than yo constantly change your food habits. My advice - to try raw food diet (http://www.beautifulonraw.com). You can amazingly fast lose a lot of weight and be sure that you will not gain it again. Fruits and vegetables will cause a feeling of being full for longer time. Plus, if you want to lose weight, you should eat more in the morning and not in the evening. If you think that raw food diet is not much fun, because it is not tasty, you will be surprised to find out all these tasty recipes http://www.beautifulonraw.com/raw_food_recipes.html

The reason you stopped lossing and started gaining weight is that your body, metabolism adjusted to the lower calorie intake, and went into what i call starvation mode. It usually takes about three days for your body to begin adjusting to the decline in food intake and as a protection against starvation it conserves energy. I have hear of two ways to deal with this. The first was the two step forward/one step back, you restict your diet for three days, and then increase it for three days. It is suppose to trick the body into speeding up the metabolism, but i do not like it, it lacks common sense. The second is not to restrict your diet too much, eat more healthy foods and increase the amount of fruits and vegies, this will help fill you up w/o increasing calories, also a good source of fiber, which will aid in feeling full and scrubing the internal system. My personal advice is start out making small changes in your diet, once those changes have become easy to follow make another. Dedicate a certain amount of time each day for exercise, and change up on the type and intensity of the exercise. After all it takes us years to gain the weight and will take awhile to lose it, if you do it in a healthy manor. Loss of 1/2 to 1 pound a week is good, all this quick loss junk will only depress you more and take your money. Good Luck Terry
