Baby born after the mother was dead

AS you probably all would have heard on the news a mother was kept on life support for 2 days so a cesarian could take place and her baby could be born. Although the baby survived it is 15 weeks premature. I was wondering has anything like this happened before and is it ethical considering the baby could and most probably will have many health complications which will have a negative impact on her life? Also if you feel comfortable would you have kept her on life support and let the cesarian take place or not? I think this is an interesting topic and your feedback will be very apreicated
