The Manhattan Nuns filed a law suit against Gloria Lim, living in their neighboring apartment, for cooking dried fish. The Nuns mistook the "stench" for decomposing corpse and called the fire department. Gloria was adamant when she said she was cooking dried fish - "tuyo" and "tinapa".
I found this hilarious at first and I though I'd let it pass as "inconsiderate" until I learned that the nuns are seeking $75,000 for "damages". And what exactly was damaged? Their nasal passages? THIS IS BEYOND HYPOCRISY.

Yeah I guess the nuns overreacted to it. I really think that they should be considerate that they do have some cultural thing to respect. And what was really damage by that. The smell will just dissipate and there is really no hram done with it.
