hi all! most of us know how to drive. because of this skill (and along with a vehicle to use), some of us are able to take advantage of driving our own vehicles. some of these advantages include being able to use shortcuts, privacy and sometimes being able to come to work or home faster than conventional public transport. of course, driving is a skill that is taught. all drivers learned to drive because we were taught to. some took driving lessons. some were taught by parents or relatives. my question is, at what age were you able to learn to drive? in my case, my dad taught me to drive at the age of 17. of course, we drove in a very new and uninhabited village. when i turned 18, i took formal driving lessons which helped me get my student driver's permit and subsequent official driver's licence easily because i was able to pass the driving tests easily. thanks and happy mylotting!

Hi MazdaKid, when I'm still in high school, I took my driving lessons, and I spend twice a week to learn how to drive, and after one month, I passed my exam and got my driver's license next month.

Well, i could have learnt driving at age 18 but for some reason i delayed going to a driving school. First my mom was sick and i had to take care of her and then my college began and i didnt get time and then i had my career placements to look after. Finally when college got over, i went to a driving school and got myself enrolled and got my license at the age of 21. A little late, i know. But you knwo what they say right? Its better to be late than never!! My dad was working away from home and hence he wasnt around to teach me to drive.

I learn to drive cycle when i was 14 years old and then learn to drive a two wheeler when i was 18 years old and then i learn to drive a four wheeler in the same year..although i'm not that good at four wheeler i think i can manage it..i learn all the three from outsiders and not from my family members and the intresting fact is that i learn to ride a bike only after getting one and thats the funniest part in that and i think that there could not be more to this story...
