hi all!
in many parts of the world, employers are turning to employees who can work at home. there are various reasons for this. some companies want to save on office space costs. some companies listen to employees who wish to save on expenses (commuting, etc.). and, because companies and employees find this setup feasible, working at home is being offered for some employees.
okay, your computer has been inspected and certified to be secure for working at home. your employment contract clearly stipulates that you can now work at home, and so you are now working at home.
of course, since you are at home, there are a lot of temptations as compared to working in an office. there's the bed. there's the TV. there's the fridge. and there are a lot more temptations which can distract you from your work.
in your case, if you're working at home, are you always able to resist temptations while working?
thanks and happy mylotting!

I don't think it's a big problem, really. There are actually lots of temptations at the office too -- haven't you ever had coworkers who spend a lot of their time talking to each other or doing anything BUT what they are supposed to be doing? It might take some time to get adjusted and it'll be harder for parents with young kids who think home time = play time, but once you realize you'll be out of work if you don't get busy I think that'll be motivation enough!

I can see that as a problem, but its like getting on here. Alot of people on here socialize to earn. If they want to make it big they are on here as much as they can. So they try not to get distracted. And most companies that allow you to work at home change the pay options. Instead of paying you hourly they even pay you buy the amount of work that is done or some other way. So that also is enough to get some people motivated.
