Too much of anything is bad for you. Taken in moderation, pizza can be a good addition to a healthy diet. As well, you need to consider the toppings on the pizza. For instance, two people with exactly the same metabolism, activity level, etc. eat nothing but pizza for a week. Person A tops his pizza with pepperoni, sausage, bacon, and extra cheese. Person B tops his pizza with peppers, onions, broccoli, mushrooms, and other vegetables. If all other things stay the same, Person A will gain more weight than Person B because of the increased calorie content of the toppings.
Pizza is actually a fairly complete food choice...you have protein and fat from the cheese and carbohydrates from the sauce and dough. Unfortunately, most pizza dough is made with white flour and the sauce also tends to have a higher sugar content. Cheese is also relatively high in saturated fat - the bad fat - and is fairly low in protein. The ratio of protein, carbohydrates, and fats can be improved with a wiser choice of ingredients - whole grains, vegetables, lean meats, etc.
So...the quick answer to your question is yes. Eating too much of anything will increase your chances of gaining weight.
The long answer is, under the right circumstances, it is possible to eat a lot of pizza and maintain a healthy weight. It takes quite a bit of effort to achieve the right circumstances, however - thinner crust, smart topping choices, etc.
Ultimately, it is always best to maintain moderation in all of your eating habits.

Absolutely anything can make you fat. It depends how much you eat and how you live.
For example, if you eat 5,000 calories of vegetables every day and sit around, you'll get fat. If you eat 5,000 calories of pizza every day, but run around all the time, do several sports and burn those thousands of calories, then you probably won't get fat at all!

HI vicky,
It is very possible when one has no control! Let's say one will eat it everyday together with other fatty food!
ALl we have to do is to know our limitations and we know when to slow down!

I think that like with any other food, eating too much pizzas would obviously make you obese. I guess that you should find a balance in your eating. I like to eat less of many different food, that way I won't have too much carvings :p

Eating too much of almost anything can make you fat. Pizza is definitely not the healthiest food in the world. As with most any food, the key to not getting fat is moderation and exercise...
