Momma's boys

I have 2 children. My youngest (a son) is 25 years old. He is married and lives about 1700 miles from me. In spite of that, he would tell anyone that he is a "momma's boy". I am close to my daughter but my son and I have always had a close relationship. He waited for 4 months to go on his honeymoon and is currently with his wife at DisneyWorld in Florida. Even though he is on his honeymoon he is having such a great time he has been calling me every day to tell me all the fun things they are doing. I think that more than anything else is indicative of how close he feels to me. I was just wondering how many of you have sons who are momma's boys? Some people use that term as a derogatory term but I think its sweet. I am not smothering him, I absolutely love his wife. But he is and always will be "my baby".

My boys, ages 11 and 8 are both definately "Momma's boys". They come to me for everything, and really enjoy having their special time alone with me when I take them places. They love their Daddy, but they are and will always be closer to me.

Exactly. He will always be close to me. He loves his dad but they don't have as close a relationship. He's my friend and my son both.

I think it's cute that your son tells people he's a momma's boy the calling you everyday while on his honeymoon is a bit odd but still it's great that you and him are so close I think it's adorable for a guy to have a good relationship with his mom.Congrats to you and your son+his wife.Type ya later Mylotters.

It's not odd really. They got married in October and lived together for over 3 years so it's not a traditional "honeymoon". It's really just a great vacation. I've enjoyed hearing about it. And I have the best daughter in law in the world.
